Overview:
It is increasingly common for multi-gigabit serial data streams to be driven across cable assemblies. As a result, radiation from these assemblies becomes an increasing concern. Generally, models and SI characteristics are known, but often radiation characteristics are only loosely defined by the cable shield properties. In order to make informed decisions, EMI specialists must understand how a cable assembly performs from a radiation standpoint.
Topics covered in this Webinar include:
A brief introduction to cable assembly shielding measurements
How radiation impacts cable assemblies
The impact of shield termination on assembly performance
How cable assemblies are tested for shielding
Testing differential systems and quantifying the performance improvement differential systems can deliver
Please join Jim Nadolny, Samtec's SI and EMI specialist, for this important discussion on radiated emissions from cable assemblies.
