DESCRIPTION
The role of scan conversion in ultrasound systems is to map the captured ultrasound data to the coordinate system of the display. For developers of imaging applications, scan conversion presents many processing, bandwidth and accuracy challenges. This video will provide viewers with an overview of why DSPs are ideally suited to address these complexities, and demonstrate the ultrasound scan conversion algorithm, one of several optimized modules in TI's embedded processor software toolkit for medical ultrasound manufacturers.
