Overview:
This webinar will cover the basics of temperature measurement with thermocouples and platinum RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors). We will show the standard approaches to interfacing with those sensors and introduce new interface ICs that simplify the design process.

The webinar is intended for engineers who want to learn:
  • The basics of thermocouple/RTD temperature measurement
  • How to overcome the challenges of digitizing thermocouple signals and RTD resistance
  • To simply the interface with new mixed-signal IC sensors.

Kerry Lacanette received his BSEE and MSEE from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has published numerous articles, application notes, and application handbooks. He defines products for Maxim Integrated, where he has been employed since 1999.

I am trying to register for the November 7 Maxim Temperature Sensor Interfaces webinar. After successfully loging into the EE Times website, clicking on the Register button opens a new tab but the Internet Explorer reports that it can not display the website. It seems to time out while waiting for the www.eetimes.com website to respond. Please reply by email to Frank DeReu, fdereu@moog.com, thank you.

Frank - I registered OK, it first takes you to a page asking 3 questions about your design requirements and then registers you, and I got a confirmatory email and a system test. Maybe try again from another PC.
