TI Total Solution for Charging Using the Wireless Power Consortium Standard
Overview:
TI launched their first Wireless Power solution for the mass market called the bqTESLA100LP solution. This Qi-compatible kit includes both the transmit and receive ICs plus design to take a Wireless Power Consortium-based solution to market today. We will discuss the basics of Wireless Power, the Wireless Power Consortium and the TI devices that make up our first generation solution in this session.

Paul J. Schoenke, Senior Field Application Engineer, Arrow Electronics, Inc.Paul has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI and has a background in medical electronics design. Paul has spent the last 18 years in the Field Applications Engineering role, the last 13 of which have been at Arrow Electronics.
Upal Sengupta, Marketing Manager for Portable Power, Texas InstrumentsPrior to becoming marketing manager, Upal has worked as an applications and systems engineer for TI's Battery Management and Low Power DC-DC converter businesses. Before joining TI in 2004, Upal worked for several years in different roles involved in the design of power systems for portable computer and mobile phone OEMs. Upal received a BSEE from the University of Illinois in 1985, and an MSEE from Michigan State University in 1992.
