Simplifying Multiple Sensor Designs with National's LMP90100

This paper addresses the technical challenges that can arise with sensing circuits in general and multiple sensing applications in particular. National Semiconductor's LMP90100 Multiple Channel 24-bit Sensor AFE integrated circuit is highlighted along with its associated online design tool 'WEBENCH Sensor AFE Designer'. Step by step guidance will show how three different sensing applications can be connected at the same time and configured with no hardware changes. Finally, the 'Optimizer' tool in WEBENCH Sensor AFE Designer is utilized to show how the system can be adjusted for maximum results independently for each sensing application.
