In particular, by examining factors such as reticle costs, wafer costs, per-unit costs at various production volumes, gate count, and die size, this white paper demonstrates that the 0.15µm process technology rests at a price-break point at which costs for the latest process technologies begin to increase sharply—making these advanced technologies unsuitable choices for many cost-sensitive applications.
