OpenAccess is on the road to becoming the new standard of interoperability in the EDA industry. It promises to increase speed (and subsequently reduce the IC design flow cycle time), decrease file size and ultimately lower design costs. However, it must first become universally adopted by the EDA industry as the format of choice.
